Datagen was born out of a rich field and utility experience of Secure Meters Limited, the pioneers of electronic metering in India. It has professionals with utility experience and a metering background. The Datagen team is focused on service delivery  for the power sector covering energy audits, revenue protection, supply quality and reliability and generation of management information for operation and management of power distribution systems. 
 

The team of electrical engineers and software professionals study utility concerns and field problems and develop relevant hardware and software tools as necessary for Indian field conditions. Service Designers at Datagen design service processes, set internal service standards, prepare detailed operating procedures and detailed work instructions and conduct pilots before the service products are deployed in the field. Iterative improvements are carried out from time to time for improving quality standards and meeting emerging expectations of customers.
