Management
Datagen has a matrix organisation structure with an experienced team at the leadership level. Nearly all the key decisions are taken by consensus and there is empowerment at every level. The leadership team meets on two occasions every month, one for Scorecard reviews and the other for Planning. In addition, there are quarterly reviews of projects and the annual meetings.

Shuvendu Patnaik
Vice President
Mr. Shuvendu Patnaik has 30 years of experience in the power sector. He worked with NTPC and POWERGRID before joining the private sector and played a crucial role in the initial stages of the development of Availability Based Tariff and the development of the first frequency-based special meters for inter-utility power exchanges. He developed, field tested and deployed a number of software and techniques for network documentation, consumer indexing and energy audits of distribution systems to address a number of practical issues faced in Indian power systems.
G K Panchal
Group Technical Advisor
Mr. Girishchandra Panchal has 35 years of experience in the Power Distribution sector with Surat Electricity Company (SEC) and Ahmedabad Electricity Company (AEC). He played a pivotal role in reducing the ATC losses and in introducing efficient management of distribution systems. His concepts of metering on Poles and Aesthetic metering practices are widely being discussed and used now-a-days in the Indian power sector. He developed the Innovative Butterfly CT for metering and holds a patent for the same.
R Narasimhan Iyer
Head, Operations
Mr. Iyer has 24 years of experience in Project Management in IBM, ABB India, NSIC etc. With his strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and effective leadership, he has contributed in strengthening the Project Management aspect of Service Delivery and in scaling up the operations of Datagen to its present levels. Presently, he heads the Operations, Planning & Purchase divisions of the organisation.
Gautam Kumar
Head, Service Design
Mr. Gautam Kumar has 17 years of experience in the Power Sector in design, planning and execution of projects related to energy metering services and other allied revenue management services. Proficient in product/project costing and execution, planning and management, he has closely observed and experienced the different phases of implementation of power sector reforms in India. At Datagen, he is known for his skills on in-depth assessment of field problems in preparing cost effective and innovative service designs.
