Growing with Datagen

Datagen pays great attention to the training, learning and invigoration of all its employees, irrespective of the level in the organisation. Our aim is to create effective service teams and our focus is teamwork. We believe that through development of the individual and the team’s capability we can serve our customer better.

Training at Datagen is broadly classified as technical and behavioural training, with an additional focus to train its engineers and managers to meet technical and adaptive challenges. This training is imparted in seven different categories, classroom training, on job training, simulation model training, self learning, role play, act and play and a one-on-one training. In addition, it is mandatory for every manager to spend at least two days in the field side by side with the field force to keep oneself abreast of ground realities.

There are frequent experience sharing sessions, which is a source of encouragement and delight for every employee. With our teams scattered all over the country delivering different services, these training programs and knowledge sharing sessions become a uniting factor too. We have learnt that this is an important step to meet the ever increasing expectations of our customers.

Every inductee undergoes an induction course covering orientation, contextual training and on-job learning before they are assigned their different roles. For the older employees training needs are identified in the annual appraisal system where individuals express their desire with recommendations from line managers. In addition different forms of contextual training are envisaged at a strategic level. These are compiled to form yearly, quarterly and monthly training calendars and training imparted is monitored in the Scorecard together with how successful the effort has been in imparting learning and implementing learning in our day to day works.
